Mob attacks Pastor and Church Members for Singing Christmas Carols

John Dayal of the Indian Government’s National Integration Council said that Hindu extremists are becoming increasingly influential in India, which threatens the safety of Christians. "There has been a sharp rise in hate campaigns against Christians by political organizations. This threat of purging Christians from villages extends from Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to now Uttar Pradesh, and to the borders of the national capital of New Delhi,” Dayal said.
Police registered a complaint and investigation is going on. According to the police, the victim Nayak, a resident of Singareni colony in Saidabad and native of Nalgonda district, was going alone from his residence towards Vaishalinagar, Champapet by walk during the night. Police believe that attackers were non-locals who came to attend a function in the locality.
The carol team said when they were moving through Vaishalinagar at midnight around 15 people attacked and beaten them. After the assault, the gang left from the area. “We took the injured to a hospital and approached the police,” said a member of the carol team.
