Hindu extremists made false allegation against Christian Pastor

Hindu extremists made false allegation against Christian PastorA Pentecostal pastor of Tamil Nadu in India is in jail for two days for having converted with her consent of a woman of 30 years. Members of the Hindu nationalist group Rashtriya Sawayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have accused the man of practicing forced conversions and have complained to the local police. The police arrested him and remanded in prison.

Pastor R. Reuben

Pastor R. Reuben, aged 44 years has been serving the End Time Church at Gundur, a suburb of Trichy, Tamilnadu in India. This Church has been in existence for the past 30 years and there are approximately 250 believers worshiping. On July 18, 2013 the pastor administered baptism to a 30 years old woman in Cauvery River after obtaining her consent.
RSS activists have complained to the Inspector of Srinagaram Police, Siva Subramanyam, alleging that the sacred river Cauvery - wedding venue - had been contaminated and the pastor was forcefully converting people. At that point, the officers proceeded to arrest of the Pastor and now he is in Police custody.
According to Dr.Sajan George, President of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), what happened is yet more evidence that "religious intolerance in Tamil Nadu, when perpetrated by Hindu extremists and nationalists, it becomes lawful if directed against the Christian Minority."
